Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo) and Bill Corbett (Crow T. Robot) are reunited in high definition for the first time ever on the big screen for an evening of LIVE riffing from The Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, Tenn.

The ultimate riffers who make movies funny on the internet comedy sensation RiffTrax.com will fling wisecracking commentary LIVE at a color version of Plan 9 from Outer Space, a 1959 science fiction/horror film featuring aliens, zombies, amateurish special effects and bad acting. Written, produced and directed by Edward D. Wood Jr., Plan 9 is often regarded as the “worst movie ever made.”
Presented by NCM Fathom and Something Awful, this exclusiveRiffTrax Live: Plan 9 from Outer Space event is hosted by Veronica Belmont, co-host of Revisions3s tech-centric show, Tekzilla and Qore on the PlayStation Network. Something Awfuls Rick Lowtax Kyanka will present a guest segment and Jonathan Coulton is the special musical guest. The event will also feature an exclusive look at a new, never-before-seen short that audiences may download following the event. Mystery Science Theater 3000 spent a total of 11 seasons on Comedy Central and the Sci Fi Channel in the late 1980s through 1999. The series features a man and his robot sidekicks who are trapped in space by an evil scientist who forces them to watch terrible science fiction B-movies. The three make fun of each film, providing hilarious commentary or “riffing. Nelson created RiffTrax in 2006 to continue the riffing on blockbuster films such as Star Wars: Episode 1 and Star Trek. RiffTrax are downloadable online and are played along with the film, providing a unique and amusing commentary throughout the course of the movie.
