STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) – Crew members for the rock band Bon Jovi have given Penn State students a class on what it takes to put together a show on the eve of the start of the group’s latest tour.
About 14 students followed crew members around Monday as they set up for the band’s tour-opening show Wednesday at the Jordan Center on the Penn State campus. A spokesman for the group says it’s the first time the band’s crew invited students to take notes and assist with setting up before a big concert.
Students learned about lighting, setting up long-range cameras and handling marketing and public relations. They are scheduled to return Wednesday to the Jordan Center to study customer service, take pictures with media – and watch the show.
