Dangerbird Welcomes Industry Veteran Piero Giramonti As Companys New President

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 1, 2011) – Acclaimed independent music company Dangerbird has announced that industry veteran Piero Giramonti has joined as their new President. In this new position based at the company’s headquarters in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles., Giramonti will oversee all six divisions of Dangerbird’s business, including the record label, management, music publishing, merchandising, licensing, and recording studio.

San Francisco-born Piero Giramonti brings a wealth of experience to his new duties as President of Dangerbird. His previous position was Senior Vice President, Global Marketing for Warner Brothers Records, in which he oversaw all global marketing campaigns for Warner Brothers and Reprise Records artists, in more than 30 territories around the world. Prior to that, Giramonti served as Senior Vice President of Video and DVD Production for Sony Music North America; as well as Senior VP, Marketing at both Epic Records and Virgin Records, based in New York and Los Angeles respectively. Giramonti was also an International Marketing Executive with EMI based in London, U.K. and Milan, Italy for nearly a decade.

Co-founded by Castelaz and Chief Creative Officer Peter Walker in 2004, Dangerbird is now home to more than 30 bands and producers. Key Dangerbird Records artists include Beady Eye, Silversun Pickups, Fitz and the Tantrums and The Limousines.
