Timothy B. Schmit debuts the video for “Friday Night” today, February 4, on AOL’s Spinner. “Friday Night” is the first video from his latest solo album, Expando, which was released last year on Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) and features some of Schmit’s most autobiographical and musically diverse solo work to date.
Directed by Zak Hudson, “Friday Night” was filmed in Los Angeles while the Eagles were on a break from world tour. The video features the musicians who perform the song with Timothy on the album, including Van Dyke Parks on accordion.
Also beginning Friday, fans who post their favorite thing to do on a Friday night on Timothy’s Web site (www.timothybschmit.com) will automatically be entered in a contest to win an autographed album.
Timothy B. Schmit is one America’s most prolific musicians, with a solo recording career that has produced four albums prior to Expando – Playin’ It Cool (1984), Timothy B. (1987), Tell Me The Truth (1990) and Feed The Fire (2001). He has appeared on a multitude of other artists’ recordings including Steely Dan, Vince Gill, Dan Fogelberg, Clint Black, Crosby Stills & Nash, Bob Seger, Jimmy Buffett, Ringo Starr, Elton John, and Warren Zevon, as well as his contributions to Poco and the Eagles. Timothy has won three GRAMMY Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Eagles.
