Los Angeles, CA (March 9, 2011) – The Pablove Foundation is excited to announce a stunning online auction to fight childhood cancer with love. A Maroon 5-commissioned Sage Vaughn painting and an autographed FC Barcelona jersey are being auctioned off through charitybuzz to benefit the foundation’s mission and programs.
The Sage Vaughn painting was graciously donated by alt-rock stars Maroon 5 – the piece was commissioned to inspire their 2011 Palm Trees and Power Lines World Tour. The 60″x36″ oil on panel was developed into the backdrop used throughout the tour.
“Jesse from Maroon 5 asked if I would help design their stage show for their summer tour. The theme was Palm Trees and Power Lines… I was stoked,” Vaughn said. “The actual image I painted is a composite from a bunch of streets around the old Dogtown Projects off Main St. by the River and the Railroad tracks.”
Vaughn is originally from Jacksonville, Oregon, and now works and lives in Los Angeles. His other works include his wildlife/wildlives collections and collaboration with hip hop duo N.A.S.A., who animated his art for their latest music video “Way down.”
Soccer fans can own a piece of history with an autographed FC Barcelona jersey. Top Barcelona Players Deco, Edmilson, Valdes, Iniesta, Ezquerro, Eto’o and Zambrotta signed the 2006-2007 home jersey, which is framed and matted.
FC Barcelona is the most successful club in Spanish football in terms of overall trophies, having won 20 La Liga titles, a record 25 Spanish Cups, nine Spanish Super Cups, and two League Cups. In 2009, Barcelona became the first club in Spain to win the treble consisting of La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Champions League. It also became the first football club ever to win six out of six competitions in a single year, comprising the aforementioned treble and the Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Both items are being auctioned through charitybuzz, the leading destination for luxury online charity auctions.

BACKGROUND ON THE PABLOVE FOUNDATION
The Pablove Foundation was founded in May 2008 by Castelaz and his wife Jo Ann Thrailkill (a New Orleans native) after their four-year-old son Pablo Castelaz was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms Tumor, a rare form of childhood cancer. After a valiant fight against the disease, Pablo passed away just six days past his sixth birthday on June 27, 2009. Imbued with his spirit and inspired by his strength, The Pablove Foundation is dedicated to the daily, global fight against childhood cancer and the suffering that comes in its wake.
The Pablove Foundation’s scientific advisory committee is comprised of the brightest minds in the pediatric cancer field, including doctors and researchers from Harvard, Duke, University of Michigan, USC, City of Hope and others. The foundation recently disclosed details of two $50,000 research grants that The Pablove Foundation will award for childhood cancer research in 2011.
Pablove headquarters is buzzing with activity this spring, as they review applications for their first childhood cancer research grants and plan for next fall’s Childhood Cancer Survivorship Symposium and Pablove Across America ride from Milwaukee to New Orleans. The organization’s new Pablove Shutterbugs program recently introduced 17 pediatric cancer patients to photography mentors, kick-starting an eight-week series of sessions in which children work one-on-one with volunteers to develop their creative voice through the art of photography.
