Seems like anyone can get a backstage pass these days…. at least this is one guest that won’t be drinking.
The Eagles continued their 2012 worldwide tour with a performance last night, April 11, in Dubai at the The Sevens Stadium. The band’s appearance in Dubai marks the first-ever Middle Eastern performance in the Eagles’ 40-year history.
In another first for the Eagles, the band performed in South Africa with concerts on Wednesday, April 4 at Cape Town Stadium; Saturday, April 7 at the Superbowl in Sun City; and Sunday, April 8 at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, for more than 60,000 (two-legged) South African fans.
The band (Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit), whose THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971-1975 is the best-selling album of all time, next perform April 21 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena; May 2 & May 4 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, GA; and they headline the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 5.
