THIRTY TIGERS ARTISTS LEAD AMERICANA MUSIC AWARDS NOMINATIONS

Lucinda Williams & Sturgill Simpson Both Nominated for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Artist of the Year

Thirty Tigers’ artists received five nominations for the 2015 Americana Honors and Awards, announced last week at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, including “Album of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” and “Artist of the Year.”

Three-time GRAMMY winner Lucinda Williams and last year’s “Emerging Artist of the Year” Sturgill Simpson were both nominated for “Album of the Year” and “Song of the Year.” Williams and Simpson are also nominated for “Artist of the Year,” a category they share with fellow Thirty Tigers’ artist, and previous Americana Award winner, Jason Isbell.

Management client Doug Seegers was nominated for “Emerging Artist of the Year” for his Rounder Records release, Going Down to the River.

Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone (produced by Lucinda Williams, Tom Overby and Greg Leisz) is the 11th studio album by Lucinda Williams and the first for release through her own imprint, Highway 20 Records/Thirty Tigers. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at # 13 (#1 on Billboard’s Folk Albums chart and #2 on the Top Rock chart).

Metamodern Sounds In Country Music (produced by Dave Cobb) is the sophomore release for singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson and was released through High Top Mountain/Thirty Tigers. It peaked at #8 on the Billboard Country chart.

The 16th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference will take place September 15-20, 2015. The event brings together fans and music industry professionals alike, offering six days of celebration through seminars, panels and networking opportunities by day and raw, battery recharging showcases each night. The Americana Honors & Awards Show is the featured performance of the festivities, taking place at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

Thirty Tigers was recently nominated for “Label of the Year” at this year’s A2IM Libera Awards. Lucinda Williams and Sturgill Simpson have also been nominated for awards at the event, which will be celebrated on Thursday, June 25, 2015 @ 7PM at Highline Ballroom, NYC.
