Don Henley called out another Don — Donald Trump — when he appeared overnight as the musical guest on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show.
Henley performed “Too Much Pride” from his new country album Cass County with not one but two spiked comments for the controversial billionaire and wannabe POTUS.

“You don’t have to be right, Donald, all the time. You can’t go on with all these axes to grind. So why don’t you lighten up and let it ride. Too much pride,” Henley sang.
The Eagles frontman went again, with the line: “Now listen Mr. Trump, empires rise, and empires fall, you stick around here long enough you’ll see it all. Now it looks like it’s gone nationwide, too much pride.”
It’s not the first time Henley has had words for a Republican politician. Back in 2009, he took action for copyright infringement against Charles DeVore for “exploiting” two of his works (“All She Wants to Do is Dance” and “The Boys of Summer”) in campaign songs without permission.
