Tournament organizers hope the final matches of Copa America Centenario are filled with enough drama for the big screen. Either way, they’ll be shown on the big screen around the country.
The semifinal and final matches of Copa America will be shown at various movie theaters around the United States, with a growing list of sites and purchase dates available through Fathom Events. As of now, 58 theaters across 25 states have signed on to broadcast the key games at their cinemas, with more expected to be added in the coming weeks. The tournament semifinals take place on June 21 and 22 in Houston (9 p.m. ET) and Chicago (8 p.m. ET), respectively, while the final will take place June 26 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. (8 p.m. ET).
“We’re happy to be working with Fathom Events again to bring the Copa America Centenario semifinals and final to big screens throughout the country,” Fox Sports head of business David Nathanson said in a statement. “This tournament is the most important men’s soccer event to be played on U.S. soil since the 1994 World Cup and it promises to be a thrilling showcase for fans everywhere.”
Copa America begins June 3 when the United States takes on Colombia at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
