Imagine not only having music in the schools, but working with children to create a strong and unique musical bond that could change lives and perceptions. American Young Voices (AYV), a performing arts education program designed to supplement the music curriculum for grades 2-8, has taken an approach to supplemental learning like none other. In many ways, the program has taken the typical components of any education program (content, learning materials, teacher workshops), but adapted them to turn elementary and middle school choral group members into collaborative vocalists and, if only for a day, real life rockstars.
