2017 UK show reviews:

“Joyous and unexpectedly triumphant” The Guardian *****

“An extraordinary response to the unimaginable” The Telegraph *****

“Tense and thunderous at times, tender and cathartic at others. It’s masterful.” i *****

“A triumphant performance charged with tragedy” The Evening Standard *****

“Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds used to be a great live act. Tonight, they are phenomenal.” The Line Of Best Fit

“A sense of awe rings around the O2 as the Bad Seeds leave the stage, lifetime Cave fans shocked at quite how magnificently the band have mutated.” Loud & Quiet

2017 US show reviews:

“There was murder, bloodshed, weeping and betrayal in these songs, many of which explored the tension between control and the furious abandonment of it. And yet there was hope, and an unfettered adoration and belief in the ideals of romantic love.” Los Angeles Times

“It could be said that Cave himself gets right down to people’s souls—more-so than any artist of recent memory. To meet a Nick Cave fan is to meet a disciple. To see a Nick Cave concert is to witness a kind of musical sacrament.” LA Record

“The pain [Nick Cave]’s voice conveys on [Skeleton Tree] is almost too much to bear, but shared with 6,000 disciples experiencing the same feelings it becomes life affirming…His shows have become true art. And like all great art it is an experience that will transform you and stay with you for years to come.” Forbes

“The people in the pit felt his breath, had their hands guided to his heart, and were often relied on to hold him from the ground. Near the stage, it was the most baroque hardcore show ever conceived. The audience was part of the show. Everything was interactive.” Consequence Of Sound
