The group recently reunited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their formation.

Newly-reunited California rock band Phantom Planet has signed with ICM Partners for worldwide representation. The group will be represented by a team of agents lead by Mike Hayes and Brandon Zmigrocki. Phantom Planet is managed by Brad Aarons at New Community Management/Roc Nation.

“Phantom Planet has one of the most dedicated fanbases and an incredible run over the course of their career,” said Hayes in a release.

“This reunion and new music have been a decade in the making. We’re proud to be a part of this exciting new chapter and to welcome them to ICM family,” added Zmigrocki.

Phantom Planet consists of vocalist-rhythm guitarist Alex Greenwald, lead guitarist Darren Robinson, bassist Sam Farrar, and drummer Jeff Conrad. Formed in 1994, Phantom Planet began playing shows throughout the Los Angeles area during the mid-’90s, which helped them ink a deal with Geffen Records in 1997. The group’s debut album, Phantom Planet Is Missing arrived the following year.

Phantom Planet Returns With ‘Balisong’ From Upcoming Reunion Album: Premiere

In 2002, Phantom Planet released a follow up album titled The Guest. The sophomore album featured the song “California,” which went on to become the theme song for television show The O.C.

Founding member and drummer Jason Schwartzman announced his departure from the band in August 2003, although he continued to release music with his own Coconut Records project. Phantom Planet’s 2004 self-titled third album introduced their new drummer Jeff Conrad, while the band moved to label Fueled by Ramen for the release of 2008’s Raise the Dead. In December of 2008, the band announced that their show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles would be their last and went into an indefinite hiatus.

The reunion comes as Phantom Planet celebrates the 25th anniversary of its formation. Currently working on their fifth studio album with Raise the Deadproducer Tony Berg at the fabled Sound City Studio, the band unleashed “Balisong,” this week, marking their first release in 11 years. The group will perform tonight (May 10) at The Lodge Room in Los Angeles.
