LOS ANGELES, CA (April 25, 2011) – Prince, one of the most prolific and groundbreaking artists of our time whose recorded music, live performances and powerful artistry have affected music and pop culture like no other, has announced the on-sale of three more shows as part of his “21 Nite Stand” in Los Angeles. He will continue his extraordinary Welcome 2 America Live tour with concerts on Thursday, April 28th; Friday, April 29th; and Saturday, April 30th at the world famous Los Angeles Forum. The newly announced performances follow hot on the heels of four sold-out L.A. concerts. Tickets for these shows go on sale Tuesday, April 26th at 12 noon PT at Ticketmaster.com. The 14 remaining Los Angeles concerts will be announced shortly.
In an effort to make the show affordable for all of his fans, Prince has declared that roughly 85% of all tickets will be available for $25, inclusive of all service fees. Prince has taken a different approach with his concerts, announcing shows a matter of days before they happen, but the fans have come out in full force and shown their support.
Upon the announcement of his “21 Nite Stand” in L.A., Prince stated: “It’s like 1975 with tickets at $25. I want all of my fans to have the opportunity to come out for the show.”
Every show is unique and a night to remember. Special guests for the Los Angeles performances are expected to be announced shortly, but for his previous shows Prince has been joined by the likes of Alicia Keys, Shelia E., Chaka Khan, Esperanza Spalding, Maceo Parker, Graham Central Station, Santana, Cee Lo Green and Cassandra Wilson, so many surprises are in store for fans.
